Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Infusion Center provides nursing assistance to the ambulatory programs of a division including management of patient flow, patient intake, and maintenance of clinic facilities. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. The LVN will work in a fast paced environment in the Infusion Center in a multidisciplinary team setting to facilitate patient appointments, draw labs, access/start peripheral IV, perform blood products transfusions or infusions as needed and medications per LVN scope of practice. Additionally, re-enforce teaching, and provide necessary paperwork (i.e. follow-up patient appointments). 

 

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ year pediatric nursing experience along with Ambulatory Clinic Experience required; Hematology Oncology experience preferred; Patient scheduling experience preferred. Organizational skills as needed.

Education/Licensure/Certifications: Completed licensed vocational nurse program. Current license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California. Current American Heart Association BLS card. IV certificate from the California state board and Phlebotomy certification preferred. 

 

Schedule: Varied 8hr shifts Monday-Saturday, 7:30am to 4:00pm


Pay Scale Information


$54,891.00-$90,178.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
