Responsibilities

As a Home Health Registered Nurse, You will:  

Assess/monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
Create home health care plans that align with MD orders and the patient's goals
Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions
Provide pain and symptom management
Educate and support the patient’s family and caregivers
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Participate in on-call rotation as required by the local branch

Qualifications

Registered Nursing Degree (Associate or Bachelor) from an accredited college of nursing with current unrestricted registration and license in the applicable state is required
One year nursing practice in a patient care setting required; and home health, geriatrics or other related settings preferred
Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of car insurance in accordance with Adoration policy
New nursing graduates may be considered in select markets based on program availability
Current CPR certification

RN Staff - DeKalb Surgery - FT - 1st Shift

The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies. The nurse evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Education : Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Experience : Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirement relative to the patient’s needs and to provide care needed as described to in policy and procedure.
