- UT Health Henderson features 41 operational beds, a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center with surgical suites, advanced diagnostic technology, a maternity unit, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and an AASM-accredited sleep center.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and
direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Must maintain current Texas RN License
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- PALS required (within 90 days of hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified
- Competent in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care medications that may or may not need to be titrated
- Thorough knowledge of airway management and rescue methods
- Pediatric/Adult Phase 1 and Phase 2
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Prior operating room experience
- PACU, ICU, ER, or other acceptable acute care experience
