What You'll Be Doing

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team. As an integral member of the health care team, coordinates patient care and communicates and collaborates extensively with the other members of the healthcare team, patients and/or patient's family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assess patients before surgery and alleviate their concerns

Gather all supplies needed for the operation

Keep operating room sterlized

Position and prepare patient on the operating table

Pass medical instruments or other objects/supplies to the surgeon during operation

Monitor patient vital signs to detect anomalies

Evaluate patient in post-operative phases

Adhere to safety standards and precautions

What We're Looking For

12-hour x 3 days Mon-Fri, 6:30am to 7pm. On-call required on weekday and weekend.

Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Must possess licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
Previous general, orthopedic, vascular and endoscopic surgery preferred.
Completion of a BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), and IV certification.
Must have 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
Must demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

RN (Registered Nurse) Supervisor Night Shift Responsibilities Include: Registered Nurse responsible to the Director of Nursing for the coordination and quality of care and services to residents in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards and regulations. She/He is a member of the Nursing Management team. RN (Registered Nurse) Supervisor Night Shift Qualifications/Requirements: Experience in Acute Care/ Long Term Care Nursing Clinically knowledge and capable of making appropriate care and service decisions. Leadership qualities and administrative competency or demonstrates potential for this. Reliable for attendance and punctuality. Strong organizational and communications skills with all levels of staff and disciplines within the organization Flexibility for schedule and duties within the department and adaptable to changing situations. Must be computer literate.
