Position Overview:

Boulder City Hospital is seeking a skilled and dependable Per Diem Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services team. In this role, you will support physicians and surgeons during operative, invasive, and GI procedures while ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, aseptic technique, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Pay Rate:

$30.75 per hour

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and surgeons during operative, invasive, and GI procedures.
Prepare and maintain the Surgical Services Department for procedures.
Ensure proper setup of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Follow strict aseptic and sterile technique during all surgical procedures.
Observe and maintain patient safety standards in all care activities.
Clean, care for, and properly handle surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist with the sterilization and maintenance of surgical supplies.
Work collaboratively with the surgical team to support efficient operations.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program REQUIRED.
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification REQUIRED.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and respond quickly in surgical situations.

Work Schedule:

Per Diem (as needed)
Must be flexible to support surgical services when coverage is required.

Job Summary and Qualifications As a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room.
