Position Overview:

Boulder City Hospital is seeking a skilled and dependable Per Diem Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services team. In this role, you will support physicians and surgeons during operative, invasive, and GI procedures while ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, aseptic technique, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Pay Rate:

$30.75 per hour

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and surgeons during operative, invasive, and GI procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain the Surgical Services Department for procedures.
  • Ensure proper setup of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Follow strict aseptic and sterile technique during all surgical procedures.
  • Observe and maintain patient safety standards in all care activities.
  • Clean, care for, and properly handle surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assist with the sterilization and maintenance of surgical supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to support efficient operations.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program REQUIRED.
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification REQUIRED.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and respond quickly in surgical situations.

Work Schedule:

  • Per Diem (as needed)
  • Must be flexible to support surgical services when coverage is required.

Job Summary and Qualifications As a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room.
