Job Summary Work Schedule: ON CALL ONLY starting Friday at 3P-Monday at 7A. Candidate will be paid 40 hours regardless if they worked 40 hours or less. *Candidate Must live within 45 minutes of the hospital Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Surgical Tech First Assist (STFA) works in collaboration with the surgeon and health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes Intraoperatively, the STFA practices at the direction of the surgeon. The tech shall assist the surgeon during surgical procedures in a manner as to make the procedure safe, effective, and smooth flowing while adhering to strict aseptic technique. The tech shall be responsible for the peri-operative care of the surgical patient by proficiently planning, implementing, and evaluating the preparation of the surgical cases.
