Willis-Knighton Work Kare is seeking an LPN for our North facility. The individual is required to have an active Louisiana LPN license for this position. Work Kare offers a full range of occupational medicine services with multiple locations in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Work Kare's Occupational Health Services comprise the most comprehensive grouping of programs and services available to employers in our area. Responsibilities for the LPN position include, but are not limited to: performing drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audio testing, pulmonary function testing, Department of Transportation physicals, basic physicals and minor work injury treatments, etc. The candidate should expect a two-week orientation period with a dedicated preceptor. This is a high-volume clinic requiring the candidate to be highly motivated, able to multitask, and be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Accurately and thoroughly documents all findings in the patient record and identifies expected outcomes based on assessment data; effectively communicates pertinent assessment findings with other health care members. Implements nursing care interventions identified in the individualized multidisciplinary treatment plan using accepted standards of practice in collaboration with other health care providers; performs nursing procedures/treatments as prescribed by physician/LIP. Conducts specified bedside laboratory tests, wound care, and provides for comfort and assistance in the performance of ADLs; Promotes the patient's ability to cope, adapt and/or solve situations related to illness and/or stressors. Provides supportive, age appropriate communication and culturally acceptable interventions and documents special needs.
