St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY is looking for an experienced RN to assist in the leadership of the Case Management team as a Nurse Supervisor full time days.  The team is willing to help train the right candidate as long as they meet the minimum requirements and have the desire and passion to learn and grow into this wonderful opportunity to progress in their nursing and leadership career.

Purpose:
The Nurse Leader (NL) is a licensed registered nurse (RN) accountable for leading, managing & advancing people, processes & / or programs that support direct or indirect patient care. Nurse Leader (NL) I
Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)
Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program; Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department; May or may not have direct report relationships; May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput; May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process; Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department; Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
 

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice / employment.

Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

Preferred requirements:

  • 2+ year of experience in case management or utilization management
  • Case Management certification (CCM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHM)
  • Discharge planning and community resource knowledge
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities
  • Critical thinking skills to problem solve
  • Highest level of time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate in a fast pace work environment across people and teams of different backgrounds and demographics
  • Engage within a team setting to help promote a strong culture
  • Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Leadership experience & / or other experience / licensure / certifications aligned with area of responsibility & assignment.

Pay Range: $44.00hr-$58.10hr  EXEMPT

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
