Job Summary

The Department of Nursing Administration at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time TH Assistant Director of Nursing, WHEN Tour. The successful candidate will:

  • Act as a bridge between hospital administration and nursing leadership.
  • Provide managerial support and oversight to nursing units, ensuring that care standards and day-to-day operations are upheld.
  • Encompass various responsibilities, including ensuring that patient care requirements are met, maintaining safe and fiscally responsible staffing levels, ensuring efficient service delivery, and achieving positive patient outcomes.
  • Ensure that established hospital policies and procedure are followed.
  • Be responsible for managing patient throughput.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.
  • New York State Registered Nurse License.
  • 5+ years of nursing work experience.
  • BCLS and ACLS Certification.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing Degree or other health-related discipline.
  • 1+ year of experience in a nursing leadership role.

Work Schedule

Variable Days; 3:30pm to 12:00am (Part-Time Evenings)
