With approved training and competencies, may perform scribe duties, including accurate transcription, proofreading, and documentation support within the electronic medical record. Maintain regular, consistent attendance and complete all onboarding education and required competencies prior to performing patient care tasks. All Medical Assistants must practice within the Logan Health–defined MA/UAP Scope of Practice. Required – One (1) of the Following: Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assisting program , OR Completion of a medical assistant program accredited by a regional or national accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, including a minimum of 720 clock hours of training with at least 160 hours of externship .
