Registered Nurse (RN) - PeriAnesthesia Supervisor/ Charge Nurse over Pre/Post and Sedated Imaging. 1.0 FTE, 10-hour shifts – 4 days a week, rotating schedules required to working days of the week. (Mon- Thurs/ Tues – Fri) Start times 0600 – 1630 at our St. Paul Campus. ***Pediatric PeriAnesthesia and leadership experience preferred.
This position exists to provide specialized nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures or medical interventions that require anesthesia. The Peri Anesthesia RN administers family-centered nursing care to patients, advises patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provides skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families.
Compensation & Benefits Information
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $47.90-$71.68. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Qualifications
Required:
- Documentation of completion of professional nursing program (RN program)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the MN Board of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. If the candidate holds valid CPR for through another acceptable organization (as determined by Gillette), candidate may be able to begin employment but must complete Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association within one month of employment.
- Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained by the end of orientation or max of 3 months of hire.
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained by the end of orientation or max of 3 months of hire.
- Must be interested in working with people with short term or long-term disabilities that begin in childhood.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physically able to work hours required and meet physical demands of the position. This does include being part of the off-premise call schedule.
Strongly Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare related field
- Prior nursing experience in a health-related setting
- Nursing Specialty Certification relevant to the position
