Summary

The Lead Registered Nurse – Primary Care Family Medicine role is responsible for assisting with total patient care by performing clinical duties, responding to patient telephone inquiries, and coordinating care both at the office and at outside facilities.

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

This team specializes in the care of patients with oncologic diagnoses including lung cancer, mesothelioma, esophageal cancer, thyroid and salivary gland tumors, adrenocortical carcinomas, peripheral nerve sheath tumors, cutaneous malignancies, and sarcomas. The Triage RN plays a key role in managing and coordinating patient care and treatment. This position collaborates closely with members of the multidisciplinary team, including Medical Assistants (MAs), Clinical Team Assistants (CTAs), Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), attending physicians, IV Therapy team members, authorization specialists, and NorDx laboratory staff, among others. This role supports timely triage, care coordination, and communication across the care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered oncology care. Experience in both oncology and triage nursing is strongly preferred for this role. However, candidates with triage experience in other specialties will also be considered. Equally important to clinical experience is a candidate’s attitude, adaptability, and overall cultural fit within the team. The individual selected for this position must be flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The practice is currently undergoing operational changes and will continue to evolve as workflows are improved and processes are optimized. A successful candidate will demonstrate resilience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to adapt to ongoing change while supporting the practice’s continued growth and forward progression.
