Job Summary: The Project Manager, GME (Clinical) is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects and initiatives related to the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education’s (ACGME) accreditation requirements. The Project Manager, GME (Clinical) works collaboratively with multiple disciplines and providers to develop innovative solutions while ensuring consistency with Network strategy, commitments, and goals.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

Oversees accreditation maintenance from the ACGME in collaboration with Academic Affairs leadership.

Facilitates the development of short and long-term projects to improve GME alignment within the clinical learning environment.

Collaborates with Academic Affairs leadership to ensure compliance for all medical/hospital regulatory site visits and regulatory standards.

Partners with interprofessional stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Demonstrates ownership and accountability for project planning and implementation.

Communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders, acts as a mediator and motivates project team members on a proactive basis to foster the cohesive functioning of the interdisciplinary team.

Collaborates with Quality/Patient Safety and Patient Experience teams to manage event reporting as required by regulatory and other bodies.

Develops and delivers educational content related to ACGME requirements to Residents/Fellows and interprofessional team members.

Maintains timely, effective communications with the department leadership regarding all events or proposed changes that could impact regulatory issues or policies or procedures.

Tracks and reports project milestones and provides timely status reports.

Participates in strategic planning for education/training programs within Academic Affairs and other JPS imperatives.

Interacts effectively with others within the Hospital District, other outside agencies, and the community.

Job Summary and Qualifications The Labor & Delivery RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the Labor & Delivery RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The Labor & Delivery RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance What you will do in this role: Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Assesses patient environment for any safety risks and/or non-compliance with regulatory standards. Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Assesses patient condition for signs and symptoms of abuse or neglect. Reports any indications of abuse or neglect to medical provider(s), nurse leader, and/or appropriate agency. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Performs the administration of prescribed medications. Monitors patient for therapeutic response. Notifies provider and intervenes as appropriate in the event of an unintended response to medication. Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management. Manages a care team, providing oversight and delegation to members as appropriate. Manages ev idence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients. Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery. Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.
