Caregiver Part-time

Overview

Heritage Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Caregiver for a specific client assignment in Northeast Albuquerque (87111).

This assignment includes assistance with intimate personal care. In accordance with the client’s privacy needs, the client has requested a same-gender caregiver for this specific role.

In this position, you will provide delegated personal care services in a home setting, supporting daily living activities while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 11:30 AM–2:00 PM
(Client may prefer a 9:00 AM start time if available)
Care is provided by other staff Friday–Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
  • Follow prescribed healthcare plans, including assisting with exercises and delegated medication support
  • Provide mobility assistance (transfers from bed, chair, or wheelchair)
  • Maintain a clean and safe home environment with light housekeeping
  • Provide structured support for a client with autism and mental health needs
  • Assist with organization, scheduling appointments, and errands
  • Escort or transport client to appointments as needed (reliable transportation required)
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition to the clinical team

What We’re Looking For

  • Compassionate, organized, and dependable caregiver
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism and/or mental health conditions preferred
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous caregiving experience preferred
  • Ability to follow delegation instructions accurately
