    • Performs sexual assault examinations while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Identifies medical stability or injuries, collects forensic evidence, provides/arranges for counseling and follow up care and testifies in courts when summoned. Collaborates with law enforcement, medical staff and community resources.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The regional sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) center provides services and resources to Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties in a private and secure facility. Staffed by nurses with specialized training, the SANE center provides immediate medical treatment, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to patients who have experienced sexual violence. Additional counseling and patient support is also available.

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required.
    • Two (2) years RN experience required, one (1) year experience must be in an acute care setting.
    • Healthcare Provider BLS required.
    • AGH Sane Nurse Program:
      • IAFN SANE-A or Oregon Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner certification required within one (1) year of hire.

Facilitates resolution of issues which present barriers to safe transfers through the use of patient/team care conferences to assure the efficient transition to a lower level of care and to assure the patient/family receives the right care at the right time so that quality and utilization of resources are simultaneously enhanced. Ensures systematic and ongoing contact with interdisciplinary staff and continuing care services to assure the safe transition of patients across care settings. Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: · Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse. · Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).
