Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, oral care, hair care, shaving, nail care, grooming, toileting, and eating. Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using appropriate techniques and stretches, as well as using proper mechanical lifts, body mechanics and a variety of equipment designed to support the patient and ergonomically help the CNA. Executes basic physical therapy tasks, including facilitating both active and passive range of motion exercises, and applying immobilizers, splints, and slings as needed. Support residents during mealtimes by serving or feeding residents and ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
