JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse / RN - Pre Op 

 

SHIFT:  Mon - Fri, 5:45 am to 2:15 pm with occasional overtime

 

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. Daily responsibilities include pre-op phone assessments, patient history, obtaining lab and clearances, and computer work. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current state RN License.  
  • BLS and ACLS required.  
  • PALS preferred.
  • Pre Op or PACU experience preferred, will be cross-trained in both areas

What You Will do in this Role: Assist the physician in managing diagnostic and interventional procedures and providing continuity of care. Observe and document physiologic monitoring data and initiate appropriate action. Address the psychosocial needs of the patient and family.
