POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as the primary liaison between patients, staff and providers. Gives direction to: LPN's, CNA's and Schedulers. Receives direction from: Providers, Coordinators and Clinical Managers/Supervisors.

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate nursing program. 
  • Follows most current standards for continuing education requirements as dictated by State/Federal licensure requirements. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience/strong knowledge base of caring for patients that affects the urinary system. 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • BLS
  • RN MT License

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with performing bladder instillations, urodynamics, replacement of supra-pubic & foley catheters and assisting with in-office procedures. 
  • Medical terminology
  • Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures. 
  • Keyboarding skills
  • Basic office skills

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Thoracic Navigator plays a key role in supporting patients with suspected or confirmed lung disease throughout their care journey. This hybrid position functions part time as a Lung Nodule Navigator and part time as a Procedural Nurse in the Bronchoscopy Lab. In the Navigator Role, this position ensures patients are effectively and efficiently guided through the healthcare system, from nodule detection through diagnosis and treatment by coordinating timely appointments, facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration, providing patient and family education, and serving as a consistent point of contact.
