Current Montana LPN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR required.
• Minimum of one (1) year current experience in the applicable area required.
• Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience required.
• Previous Charge Nurse or Nurse Supervisor experience preferred.
• Possess medical/clinical knowledge and technical skills appropriate to the assigned area(s).
• Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and exhibit empathy.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

Job Specific Duties:
• Assumes a visible leadership role by coordinating patient care and day-to-day operations as applicable to assigned area(s).
• Provides regular performance feedback and coaching to staff. Actively participates in hiring, training, and staff development. Contributes to performance evaluations and plays a key role in hiring, corrective action, and disciplinary discussions in collaboration with leadership and HR.
• Monitors the quality and consistency of patient care and supports effective communication and collaboration among staff. Reports concerns related to care delivery or staff performance to appropriate leadership.
• Promotes staffing compliance and helps ensure safe and appropriate staffing assignments. Monitors daily staffing levels and communicates concerns to leadership.
• Ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines as applicable to assigned area(s).
• Provides daily oversight of staff and patient care as applicable to assigned area(s), including but not limited to:
o Assists in coordinating patient care delivery in accordance with hospital policies and nursing guidelines.
o Assigns patient care tasks and delegates duties based on patient needs and staff competencies within LPN scope of practice.
o Coordinates with leadership to support appropriate staffing based on patient acuity, productivity goals, and policy guidelines.
o Communicates with staff to provide immediate feedback to correct deviations.
• Communicates with leadership and documents any unusual events occurring during shift, including but not limited to safety incidents, patient care concerns, staffing issues, policy deviations, and examples of exceptional teamwork or professionalism.
• Supervisors may be expected to perform the following tasks regularly:
o Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.
o Trains and/or coordinates the training of assigned staff.
o Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.
o Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for assigned staff.
o Leads and/or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
