Duties
Utilizing the Nursing Process of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating, the Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care, managing assigned personnel, and promoting collaboration among the multi-disciplinary health care team. The RN maintains open communication and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation. Available for on call shifts as scheduled per Health System, Surgical Services and unit policies including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
An Associate in Nursing is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing and current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Georgia is required. Attain ACLS alternating with PALS certification beginning the first year of hire. Competency as evident in pursuing and maintain national certification within subspecialty. 2-3 years of Critical care experience is required. 2 years of Critical care in a Hospital within the last 5 years. Professional License with State of Practice is required. National Certification is required. Must obtain Certification within 1 year of eligibility.
