Registered Nurse (RN) Maternal/Newborn – Full-time

- Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
- Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours/week, 6:45PM-7:15AM with holiday and weekend requirements
- Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
- Mother friendly designated, Texas 10-Step designated, Level III Maternal designated, Team Birth facility, and Magnet designated facility
- Our team is like a family with a newly renovated Mother/Baby, couplet care unit with 26-beds
- Average between 275-285 deliveries per month in a fast-paced couplet care unit
- Part of the CHAMPS national initiative for breastfeeding education
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma
- BSN is preferred
- RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
- One-year (1) Year Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required
- One year or more of Maternal/Newborn, Mother/Baby, Couplet Care RN experience strongly preferred
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
