1+ years of recent ED, ICU, or IR RN experience strongly preferred. Fast paced minimally invasive procedural department. RNs are responsible for care of the patient during interventional radiology procedure, including assessment, sedation, monitoring, and charting. Patient acuity varies from low acuity to critical care patients. Interventional radiology RNs have a call requirement (amount of call may vary), this includes a 30 minute response time while on call.

Summary:

Performs functions before procedure, including preparing the environment, orienting and assessing the patient, and reviewing patient’s medical record to ensure safety checklist are complete.

Provides nursing care in a technically complex environment.

Requirements:

  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
