CNA Weekend Warrior (Weekend + Optional Weekday) – $5/hr Differential

Job Summary:

Work Saturday and Sunday and receive an extra $5 per hour. Weekend Warriors may also pick up one additional weekday shift and receive the same $5/hour differential for that weekday shift as well.

The Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing at Washington Township is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Weekend Warrior team. As a vital member of our team, you will provide exceptional care and support to our patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and recovery. Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including but not limited to:

Assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming
Feeding and hydrating patients
Transferring and repositioning patients using proper body mechanics and equipment
Measuring and recording vital signs and reporting changes to the healthcare team
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans
Participating in shift handovers and communicating effectively with staff
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
Demonstrating a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
Performing other duties as assigned by licensed nursing staff

Requirements:

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of New Jersey
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work Saturday and Sunday (required)
Ability to work one additional weekday shift (optional, with $5/hr differential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients according to established protocols
Prior experience in rehabilitation or long-term care preferred, but not required

Participate in monthly letters home and letter writing with the residents and their families. Contribute to the overall engagement programs and processes (customer and team member engagement) including participating in the team member engagement survey and engagement improvement planning workshops. Attend regular training by Assisted Living Coordinator (ALC), Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) or Reminiscence Coordinator (RC) using mini modules. Comply with all infection control techniques, placement of bio-hazard containers, and removal techniques as listed in policies and procedures. Maintains compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.
