Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Reports To: Director of Physician Services
Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned clinic or physician office. This role supports patient care delivery while maintaining efficient clinic operations in a fast-paced environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent - required
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent - required
Licensure / Certification
Active CCMA, CMA, or RMA - required
Basic Life Support (BLS) - required (must obtain within 60 days of hire)

Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Strong communication and documentation skills
Professional, patient-focused demeanor
Essential Functions
Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with patient assessments and treatments
Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
Monitors patient condition and promptly communicates changes to clinical staff
Accurately documents patient care and clinical activities
Maintains medical equipment and supplies, including stocking, cleaning, reordering, and basic troubleshooting
Ensures examination rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient visits
Performs administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including reception, scheduling, filing, data entry, and patient registration
Non-Essential Functions
Performs other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
