Medical Assistant – Full-Time

Day Shift

We are seeking experienced Medical Assistants to provide on-site clinical support in a secure correctional healthcare setting.

This is a full-time contract opportunity supporting a structured Health Services Unit with consistent hours and a stable long-term assignment.

Location:
Tallahassee, FL (on-site clinical setting)

Schedule:
• Up to 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, day shift
• No weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient intake, take and record vital signs, and document medical histories
• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and mid-level providers during clinical activities
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection as needed
• Operate EKG and basic laboratory equipment
• Triage sick-call complaints and refer appropriately
• Maintain exam room readiness, supplies, and infection control standards
• Accurately complete required documentation and logs

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of documented experience as a Medical Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work professionally in a secure, structured healthcare environment
• Must be able to successfully pass a federal background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening
