Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates high-quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders, facility clinical systems, and regulatory requirements. The RN supervises nursing staff and ensures the delivery of safe, effective, resident-centered care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and oversee resident health and wellbeing
Supervise, support, and mentor LPNs and CNAs
Assess resident needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians, nurse practitioners, staff, and family members
Administer medications, treatments, and other prescribed nursing care
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in PCC
Lead shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Maintain compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
CPR certification required
Skilled nursing facility experience preferred (not required)
Knowledge of PCC preferred (not required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
