Caregiver - Alzheimer’s and Dementia Experience Required

Job Summary:

Seniors Helping Seniors KC North, a respected provider of in-home companionship services, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver with Seniors Helping Seniors KC North, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors in our community. We are committed to delivering high-quality care and companionship to seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to help us achieve this mission.

Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and support to seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia, promoting their independence and well-being
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Prepare meals and manage medication schedules
Engage in activities that stimulate the mind and spirit, such as conversation, reading, and games
Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote a sense of connection and belonging

Requirements:

2+ years of experience working with seniors, with a focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate and patient approach to care, with a focus on promoting the dignity and autonomy of our clients

Work Environment:

Part-time schedule, approximately 20-30 hours per week
Opportunity to work with a diverse group of seniors in the Kansas City, Missouri area

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate of $16-$18 per hour
