We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Director / LPN with management experience.

Resident Care Director / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities include:

  •      Recruit, hire, train, supervise, manage, develop schedules and assure adequate resident care department staffing 24/7 according to PSL policies, procedures, and standards

  •        Establish and maintain a medication system which adheres to state, federal, and company laws, regulations, and guidelines this includes maintaining accurate documentation, training resident medication assistants, communicating with physicians, pharmacies and responsible parties

  •      Work collaboratively with all Peregrine team members, service providers, residents, and their families to ensure the highest quality of care and lifestyle this includes coordinating and providing therapeutic interventions from move in, through discharge, via developing and educating all care staff on individualized resident service plans

  •        As the Resident Care Director, lead the Resident Care Department within budget and according to PSL policies, procedures, and standards, maintaining adequate resident care supplies

  •        Act as a liaison for all aspects related to resident care within the community as the Director of Resident Care

Resident Care Director / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Education & Experience:

  •        A registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or licensed vocational nurse licensed to practice as required by state regulations preferred

  •        Case management experience preferred

  •        Experience and knowledge in all aspects of senior living, including assisted living, memory care, and enhanced assisted living preferred

Duties And Responsibilities 1 Assist with the Home Health Aide Training Process and Certification. Welcomes the trainees to the HHATP. Ensures that the trainees sign the attendance sheet. Communicates with the nursing supervisor and reports lateness and/or absences. Ensures that the trainees understand the length of the program and their role and responsibilities. Hands out the Curriculum and Reading Requirements. Hands out the Text/workbooks. Keeps a track of books purchased. 2 Maintains trainees records based on the local, state, regulations as well as . accreditation standard. Ensures that the attendance sheets are kept in a binder. Ensures that trainees written competency, Supervise Practical Training and Certification are in the trainees records. Utilizes knowledge of diagnosis and clinical skills to appropriately assist nurse supervisor with the training of health related task. Assess trainees strengthens and weaknesses. Provides time with trainee for additional assistance/consultation. Assists trainee in health related task in a laboratory setting observation. 4 Establishes realistic goals and methodology for goal achievement with the nursing supervisor and trainee. After consulting with nursing supervisor, will identify realistic goals and ways to achieve them in collaboration with the trainee, Director of Nursing and Director. Ensures that the trainee understands what is required to achieve identified goals.
