Knowledge and Skills: Ability to read, write and speak English. Good interpersonal skills. Practice safety rules at all times to prevent accidents, i.e., applies bed rails and keeps rooms in order. Attend ongoing educational programs to include at least 6 hours of in-service education every 6 months. Licenses, Certifications: New York State Certification as a Nursing Attendant, required. Physical Requirements: Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day. Position will be required to stoops, bends, lifts and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds. Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
