DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The RN Supervisor assumes primary nursing responsibilities for the management of resident and staff activities. The RN Supervisor utilizes nursing practice and management skills and ensures resident care is administered in accordance the company’s policies and procedures. Directs the formulation and implementation of resident’s care plan to meet specialized needs of geriatric residents using assessment and diagnostic skills. Serves as professional role model to the other staff.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or equivalent experience.
  • Current license to practice as an RN.
  • Previous experience in a nursing home leadership capacity.

Shift Needs: 3-11 Shift

Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience

The individual will need to work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to, preparation of patients for procedures, administration of eye drops, IV placement, post-anesthesia recovery, pain management and patient education. Requirements: Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in nursing assessment and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and have a current license in the state of Connecticut to practice as a registered nurse. Candidate must be positive and energetic, a strong team player, and an excellent communicator; be able to prioritize multiple tasks; and have strong decision-making skills. Ophthalmology experience preferred, but not required. BLS and ACLS certification should be current. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
