Position Overview

A long‑term care facility in Glendive, MT is seeking an experienced Travel Director of Nursing to provide leadership and oversight within its LTC/SNF setting. This role requires a strong clinical leader who can step in quickly, support staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high standards of resident care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of DON experience in LTC/SNF

  • Active Montana RN license or compact license

  • Active BLS

  • Strong knowledge of LTC regulations, survey readiness, staffing oversight, and quality initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily nursing operations within the LTC/SNF

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations

  • Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to maintain high‑quality resident care

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and survey preparedness

Responsibilities Direct and optimize Case Management and Social Work services, including managing an indirect team of 25. Implement new processes and change management initiatives to immediately tackle performance challenges. Provide expert clinical oversight and intervention for complex case management, including effective de-escalation strategies.
