Wound Care Nurse RN needed for a Long Term Care skilled nursing facility. Full-time role as the on-site Wound Care expert. Monday - Friday. Work with a great interdisciplinary team.
Position Summary:
The Wound Care RN provides specialized wound care services in a long-term care facility, focusing on skin integrity, pressure injury prevention, and wound healing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, treat, and monitor pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and skin breakdown
- Develop, implement, and update wound care treatment plans
- Perform wound treatments and dressing changes in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Track wound healing progress and report changes to providers
- Collaborate with RN staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate wound documentation and regulatory compliance
- Educate nursing staff on wound prevention and best practices
- Support infection control and quality assurance programs
Qualifications:
- Current New York State RN license (required)
- Wound Care certification preferred (WCC, CWCN, or similar)
- Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $85,000–$100,000.00 per year
