A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS is seeking a Medical Assistant II (MA) to join our O’Fallon Cardiology clinic. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands on care to support expert, compassionate care to our cardiac patients. Completing prior authorizations for prescriptions as well as general refills.

Education Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduate from accredited medical assistant program with coursework in pharmaceuticals and medicine administration practicum or 1 year of medical assistant experience required.
Experience Qualifications
  • 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Medical Assistant (MA) Certification/Registration required or must be obtained within 90 days of start date from one of the following credentialing organizations: 1. Certified MA from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) 2. Registered MA from American Medical Technologists (AMT) 3. National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) 4. Certified Clinical MA (CCMA) from National Healthcare Association (NHA) 5.
