For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!
  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary

Pen Bay Hospital operates 3 busy operating rooms, and averages 300 cases per month. Cases included general surgery, GYN, urology, ENT, eye surgery and orthopedics. Our ORs are staffed weekdays until 4:30 pm. Surgical services provides after hours call coverage 7 days a week.

The Coordinator – OR Clinical Care role collaboratives with department leadership to provide oversight and direction for patient flow and nursing care management and facilitates the daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and scheduling. Develops and implements unit-based orientation and competencies and provides direct patient care as needed.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or active enrollment, preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Maine required. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of RN charge/supervisor experience required. Two years of experience within clinical area of unit preferred.
