  • Weekend and holiday rotation required

    Duties and Key Responsibilities

    Responsible for the coordination of resources to meet the needs of patients, staff, and physicians on a shift basis. A significant portion of time is spent problem-solving, collaborating with work areas, evaluating the effectiveness of care, and promoting positive communication.  Contributes to implementation and enforcement of administrative and patient care policies and procedures, and performance appraisals, and takes corrective action as appropriate. Assumes administrative responsibilities in the absence of Clinical Leaders and the Chief Nursing Officer. Is responsible to provide oversight of non-patient care areas as well.  

    Requirements

    • Ability to work every 3rd weekend and holiday rotations.
    • Must be willing to cross-train and float to other departments.
    • Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

    Education/Certifications

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Licensed RN. BSN is highly preferred.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 2-3 years recent Acute Care experience
    • ED/Critical Care experience preferred.
    • Previous charge or supervisory experience preferred.
