School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Carpinteria, California

$22 - $65 / week

A Registered Nurse is needed to support a K-12 school in Carpinteria, CA, on a contract basis for the current school year. This role is ideal for a nurse experienced in school nursing and case management, focusing on a triennial reassessment for a student with medical needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting a comprehensive triennial reassessment for a student, including updating health care plans and coordinating medical aide services
  • Meeting with the student and parents at least once in person to address and evaluate ongoing health concerns
  • Providing nursing support and case management as needed to ensure the students medical needs are met within the school setting
  • Coordinating communication between medical providers, school staff, and the family
  • Working 3 hours per week with flexible schedulinghours can be distributed throughout the week or completed in one day
  • Starting as soon as possible, with an anticipated start date of June 3rd, 2026

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN licensure
  • Experience in school nursing and case management preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

This position offers flexibility with hybrid or fully in-person options to best accommodate the needs of the student and family.
