This role is ideal for an RN with experience in school nursing and specialized medical care who is committed to ensuring the student's health and safety throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one nursing support for a student needing specialized medical care
Administer care including tracheostomy management; gastrostomy tube (G-tube) experience is a plus
Accompany the student on the mid-day bus ride to a technical center for calls and assistance
Begin and end the school day at the high school, working from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM
Collaborate with school staff and family to promote a safe and supportive learning environment
Participate in interviews and potentially renew contract based on performance and fit

Qualifications and Experience:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
Experience with tracheostomy care essential; G-tube experience highly preferred
Background in school nursing or pediatric healthcare strongly preferred
Ability to adapt to a school environment and work closely with student, staff, and transportation protocols
Strong communication and organizational skills
