BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel is currently seeking a Registered Nurse – Stat RN ER to join our outstanding and compassionate Nursing Administration team.

The Stat RN is a fast-paced position that will respond to emergency codes house-wide and may be providing care for a patient during the immediate period afterwards, assist all clinical departments when busy, including ICU and ED, and help to precept/guide the team.

The RN Responsibilities Include

Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
Professional accountability and development.
Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
ACLS Certification, if required by department
PALS Certification is preferred.
Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education

Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

Experience

2 years of RN experience is required.
1 year of RN experience in the ER is preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for our dynamic Emergency Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. What you will do in this role: You will manage efficient flow of patients including triage, screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions. You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions. You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results. You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
