Per Diem Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse

Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse to join our team.

 

Job Summary:

  • The RN PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies.
  • The RN PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family-centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations.
  • The RN PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • The RN PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center provides:

  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedics
  • Urology
  • Pain Management services.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Florida
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 1-5 years' previous experience in PreOp/PACU
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
  • Must have current BLS, ALS, and PALS
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to the changing condition of the patient when needed

Floor Nurse (RN) We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floor Nurse to join our team at our skilled nursing facility. In this role, the Floor Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times. This includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring health status, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans. Floor Nurse Responsibilities : · Ensure that the individual service plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physician. · Make meaningful rounds to all residents, utilizing service plans; make rounds with physicians and record visits on charts. · Administer all intramuscular, sub-cutaneous injections; perform all in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs. · Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status. · Receive or place calls to physicians and follow through with physician’s orders. · Handle the preparation and administration of prescribed medications. · Order all new medications and refills; administer all medications and chart. · Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake; report persistent unresolved problems to the physician and/or DON or appropriate discipline. · Timely and accurately complete admission assessments and appropriate discharge documentation. · Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following community and regulatory guidelines · Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. · Perform other duties as assigned.
