Cuero Regional Hospital is searching for a FT Certified Surgical Tech in the Surgery Department. The Surgical Technologist handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical/endoscopic procedures and assists in the ordering, inventory control and maintenance of these. He/she has an understanding of the procedure and anticipates the needs of the surgeon/physician/OR team. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of instrument processing, sterilization, biological monitoring and actively participates in these processes. Share on call duties. Preferred Surgical Experience but not required Qualifications: Current BLS certification. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology is preferred. Certification for surgical technologist.
