CNA Shift Lead (Full-Time)
Full-time CNA Shift Lead needed. 7am–3pm or 3pm–11pm shifts. Lead CNAs on the unit, support staff, and maintain high standards of resident care.

Pay: Base CNA rate plus $2.00/hour differential
Reports To: Unit Manager / Director of Nursing
Provisional Period: 90 days with performance evaluation

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwell is part of The Grand Healthcare System, providing long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services in a resident-centered skilled nursing environment.
Position Summary
The CNA Shift Lead serves as the on-floor leader for their assigned shift. This role supports CNA staff, promotes teamwork, ensures adherence to policies, and acts as a liaison between CNAs and nursing leadership to support quality resident care.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership and Oversight
Serve as the lead CNA on the unit during assigned shifts
Model professionalism, teamwork, and accountability
Communicate shift priorities, assignments, and updates
Reinforce facility policies, procedures, and chain of command
Communication and Coordination
Maintain communication with the Unit Manager regarding staffing and resident needs
Relay pertinent information between shifts and leadership
Assist with problem-solving and workflow coordination
Mentorship and Training
Support and mentor new CNA hires during orientation and training
Provide hands-on guidance and feedback to promote success and retention
Quality, Safety, and Accountability
Monitor task completion, teamwork, and time management
Address performance concerns and escalate appropriately when needed
Support infection control, safety practices, and resident rights
Expectations
Lead by example with reliability and professionalism
Promote teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care
Maintain confidentiality and uphold facility values
Willingness to float to other units as needed
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
Qualifications
Active CNA certification in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of CNA experience
Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills
Reliable attendance and positive work ethic
Compensation and Evaluation
$2.00/hour Shift Lead differential
90-day provisional period with performance evaluation
