Summary

Under direction of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse - Acute Care role provides supportive and restorative care to patients and administers medications and treatments according to policies, procedures, and standards of the nursing practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required.
License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Licensed Practical Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. IV certification required.
Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.

The responsibilities in this role for the selected candidate would be managing our IV antibiotic monitoring program, administering travel vaccines to our world traveling patients, assist with the patient discharge lists for multiple hospitals, performing prior authorizations along with medication refills and ensuring our community of patients are well taken care of. We see patients for all sorts of diagnosis such as STI/HIV, bone infections, chronic UTI's, or just a surgery wound that won't heal. Between our traveling patients and different type of wounds/infections, it keeps it interesting.
