MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing  
Current Montana or Wyoming state license as a registered nurse required
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
 Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an RN working in a hospital, physician clinic or other medical facility, preferred

RN Electrophysiology (per diem)

The incumbent in this position is responsible for coordination of the JBCC cardiac electrophysiology implant follow-up and event recording program. Performs implantable cardiac device interrogations to ensure cardiac implant equipment is functioning appropriately and FDA tracking requirements are met. Performs follow-up visits, remote monitoring, and non-routine evaluations. Performs patient assessment and arranges appropriate follow-up. Essential Job Functions • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance. • Coordinates scheduling of routine or emergent follow-up visits for post cardiac device implant patients with an implantable cardiac device. • Performs implantable cardiac device interrogations at bedside, evaluating device function and diagnostic information, and coordination of care with provider. • Coordinates the implantable cardiac device remote monitoring follow-up.. Reviews abnormal findings, performs patient phone triage, assesses patient’s needs and coordinates with the appropriate physician and arranges follow-up. Oversees the training of staff for these programs. • Utilizing remote monitoring, records and interprets ECG transmissions. Evaluates cardiac rhythms as well as equipment status. • Performs routine in-department implantable cardiac device interrogations evaluating device function and diagnostic information. Diagnose and document device abnormalities for physician review. Suggest and demonstrates solutions for problems found. Performs assessment and directs the patient to appropriate care as needed. Coordinates closely with physician regarding changes in patient condition or equipment status. Charts in the electronic medical record according to established procedures. • Track implantable cardiac device FDA and company alert issues, assuring appropriate follow-up is done. • Educates patients on implantable cardiac device and the use of the equipment for remote monitoring transmissions. Assists with troubleshooting problems or issues. Serves as a resource and patient advocate responding to questions and concerns. Communicates and interprets physician’s instructions to patients. • Maintains patient education material for Electrophysiology procedures. RN (per diem) - Psychiatric BHC

In collaboration with psychiatrists, provides age-appropriate comprehensive care for patients receiving treatment in outpatient and inpatient programs. Incorporates evidence-based nursing practices consistent with national standards and which support quality outcomes. Acts as a liaison between members of the mental health care team, patient, and family and agencies and acts as a resource and consultant regarding mental health issues. Essential Job Functions • Supports and practices the mission and philosophy of Billings Clinic and the Behavioral Health Center. • As a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and under supervision of a psychiatrist shall: Provide comprehensive age-appropriate care for patients receiving treatment at the Behavioral Health Clinic. Uses a holistic approach including tests and measurements in assessing neuro developmental, biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and educational status. Maintains appropriate skill/knowledge of application and patient relevance of commonly used equipment specific to area; pharmacological application; application of laboratory values with disease process or physiological status. Documents in the progress note RN assessment, action plan, and education. Utilize laboratory, EKG, EEG, and diagnostic imaging results to initiate, support or modify patient care. Gathers and documents patient vital sign information necessary for appropriate care and medication reconciliation. Make referrals to appropriate mental health professionals and facilitate the development of an integrated physician plan of care Interviews patients’ families when indicated. Facilitate medication management and medication education of Behavioral Health patients. Work closely with psychiatrists; understand the treatment philosophy of each, have a strong understanding of mental disorders, diagnostic categories, psychotropic and psychostimulant medications, somatic therapies and psychotherapy. Provide direct services to patients as necessary (i.e. diagnosis and medication education, crisis intervention, RN assessments in adjunct to physician appointments. Assist referrals to support groups or organization, for example NAMI, AA) Coordinate the patients’ post hospital care as necessary. Participate in clinical supervision.
