Working under general supervision, the RN employs the full nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while utilizing both theoretical knowledge and clinical skills to promote and maintain patient health. Requires integrating evidence-based nursing practices aligned with national standards to achieve quality outcomes. Accountable for the quality of nursing care provided, overseeing the care plan with a focus on maintaining professionalism. Involved in delivering exceptional nursing care to patients in acute, swing bed, and emergency care settings, in close collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will exhibit clinical expertise, a strong dedication to patient-centered care, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, rural healthcare setting.

Essential Job Functions

• Delegate assignments and tasks to CNA with supervision to ensure patient care is completed according to Billings Clinic Policy.
• Attend department trainings and meetings to stay informed on policies, procedures, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Two (2) Year / Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Four (4) Year / Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Preferable experience in acute care or critical access hospital setting

Certifications and Licenses

• ACLS - Within 6 months of hire - Must obtain prior to working independently on the unit.
• PALS - Within 6 months of hire - Must obtain prior to working independently on the unit.
• TNCC - Within 1 year of hire
• Current Montana license as a Registered Nurse - At hire
• BLS/Healthcare Provider
