Position Summary:
The Wound Care RN provides specialized wound care services in a long-term care facility, focusing on skin integrity, pressure injury prevention, and wound healing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, treat, and monitor pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and skin breakdown

  • Develop, implement, and update wound care treatment plans

  • Perform wound treatments and dressing changes in accordance with clinical guidelines

  • Track wound healing progress and report changes to providers

  • Collaborate with RN staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Maintain accurate wound documentation and regulatory compliance

  • Educate nursing staff on wound prevention and best practices

  • Support infection control and quality assurance programs

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State RN license (required)

  • Wound Care certification preferred (WCC, CWCN, or similar)

  • Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred

  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range: $85,000–$95,000
