Responsibilities:

Schedule and manage process for mandated in-services
Coordinates orientation for all new hire employees
Acts as a resource person for all staff regarding educational needs/ requirements
Handles Stepping Stone program and other educational initiatives
Performs other duties as needed or as assigned by the administrator

Requirements:

Graduate of accredited nursing program
Current Massachusetts nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Five (5) years Long Term care experience preferred
CPR/BLS/AED and IV certification required

Develops a care plan that establishes goals, based on nursing diagnosis, and incorporates palliative nursing actions. Includes the patient and the family in the planning process. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician’s plan of care. Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs. Provides health care instructions to the patient as appropriate per assessment and plan.
