Healthcare Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and professional Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to work in coordination with the DON to support the nursing department functions of our rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. As Assistant Director of Nursing, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, management, and a long-term care setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. 

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000 - $100,000

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Experience:
Supervising experience: 2 years (Preferred)
Long term care: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
RN License (Required)

DUTIES:

  • Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff

  • Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents

  • 24 hours on call for Nursing emergencies

  • Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services

  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures 

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records

  • Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff

  • Oversee daily staffing process

  • Aide in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights

  • Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs

  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance resident care and services

  • Implement training programs for staff development

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid New York RN license required

  • 1-year staff education experience preferred

  • Excellent Communication Skills required

  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision

  • Flexible hours required

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing; master’s degree preferred

  • Familiarity with home care services and regulations

  •  Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
