Join a dedicated team of seven (7) Physiatrists and two (2) Advanced Practice Providers in the highly desirable area of Sarasota, Florida . We are located only minutes from the beautiful beaches of Siesta Key, Lido Key and Longboat Key on the West Coast of Florida. The Rehab Pavilion is a 60-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) that opened in April 2017 on the campus of Sarasota Memorial Hospital . It is a 74,000 square-foot , five-story Pavilion that accommodates the complex medical, rehabilitation and mobility needs of patients with brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, neurological disorders, and orthopedic & musculoskeletal conditions. The inpatient rehab unit averages 1,700 admissions per year and has consistently remained at or near capacity. Our program continues to earn the highest level of accreditation from CARF with the additional certification as a Stroke Specialty provider and is ranked #29 in the nation in adult specialty rehabilitation by US News & World Report’s 2024-2025 “Best Hospitals” list . Responsibilities include: PRN position: seeking coverage for four 8-hour weekend shifts a month. Shifts will be on Saturday or Sunday, 8AM to 4PM . Management of immediate post-acute medical conditions in the inpatient rehabilitation unit. Weekend rounding on recently admitted patients, including follow-up on recent diagnostic testing and evaluation of medical issues that may impact therapy participation. Identification and management of new acute medical conditions that can impact recovery and require acute interventions.
