Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all clinical and nursing services within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. The DON is a vital member of our executive team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of resident-centered care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. Key Responsibilities

Lead, plan, organize, and evaluate all aspects of the nursing department.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing nursing staff; oversee orientation, training, and continuing education.
Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and budgeting for the nursing department.
Drive quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and risk management programs.
Serve as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Ohio (required).
Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment (DON or ADON preferred).
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, survey process, and quality metrics.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop staff.
