Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room provides immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with urgent, emergent, and life-threatening conditions. The ER RN performs rapid assessments, prioritizes care, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Licensure & Certifications:
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required or obtained within a specified timeframe
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required
Prior Emergency Room, ICU, or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment
Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care
Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift, push, or pull patients and equipment
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required
